Hey y'all! I'm April and I LOVE MY JOB. 😍
Fun FACT!! I have wanted my own gift shop ever since my first job. Thankfully I found SCENTSY and the rest is history.
I have married to my high school sweetheart for 25 years and we have 4 boys. And all 4 are diagnosed with speech delays and Autism, Chris, Alex, Zach & Jack. So that's how we roll, overcoming challenges along the way. We have a 5th baby boy, Seth, who went to be with the Lord before he got to meet us face to face BUT we celebrate him often. I LOVE being a boy mom and all the joys it brings.
We are Texas natives. We love going to church, going to the beach, and frequently go to zoos or anyplace with animals cause our 7 yr. old is an ANIMAL facts guy. He will talk your ear off.
I have a BA in English from Texas A&M (whoop 👍) after 9 years in school. We built our little family early and married life, kids, work and school was ALOT to juggle. BUT we both graduated. I always wanted to be teacher growing up. AND now after detours and spending many years volunteering in schools, I just started a Mother's Day Out teaching job. So you can see, I wear many hats.
Scentsy found me in 2020 when my Scentsy consultant friend who was hosting a facebook Mystery Host party and I bought my first warmer, Dream Big. She had a host join kit available by the end of the party, I had talked myself into it. I had heard about Scentsy, had gotten a few samples and I had actually made a Pinterest board collecting pics of how they packaged gifts before. I was previously in direct sales companies where I used the ideas for those businesses BUT the way they were setup just was not working for what I needed. I needed something to fit ME, still flexible for our families' schedules, where I could make some extra cash. And I just needed something NEW to get me out of the funk and depression that I had been pulled deeper into from all the darkness that was that year. I quickly began to see how Scentsy was different. Scentsy didn't require me to keep inventory, spend a lot of money upfront, and it was a consumable product- which meant they had to come back to reorder. AND we had products for EVERYONE! Men, Women and Kids because EVERYONE needs to SMELL GOOD, right! PLUS, I spoil them with free & half price goodies! It was REALLY that easy! Scentsy has been such a blessing for our family. I get to have my giftshop without all the storefront hurdles. IT's AMAZING! Scentsy has provided us so much over the years- tanks of gas, date nights, Christmas gifts for my family, and the opportunity for SO MUCH MORE as I grow my business. Scentsy has also pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I got on a plane for the first time since 1994. I'm scared to death of flying, BUT my love of Scentsy got me to be STRONG and BRAVE and go to SPR this year in North Carolina. I had the BEST time learning and hanging with my Scentsy family. AND it is a FAMILY, not just a business. It's so MUCH MORE than fragrance. Did you know Scentsy can take you on trips that you don't have to pay for? TRUE STORY. It takes work and consistency, but if you're heart is in it & you are willing to pour into it and yourself, this business can take you to some amazing places! Scentsy can be that window the Lord has opened for you. PRAISE GOD.
All in all, I am your 40' somethin', All things Fall & Christmas lovin', decor lovin', crafty, Barqs Rootbeer lovin', collector of many things (borderline hoarder 😜) & love my family gal. I am confident that you can join this business and it can do BIG THINGS FOR YOU-whether its community, extra money, or because you love the products -- there's something here for you!
